Child Safety Standards

Last Updated: January 2026

MealBourne Commitment: We are committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. This page outlines our child safety standards and policies.

1. Zero Tolerance Policy

MealBourne has a zero tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content involving sexual exploitation or abuse of minors. Any such content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities.

2. User-Generated Content Moderation

MealBourne employs a multi-layered approach to monitor and moderate user-generated content:

  • Automated Tools: We use advanced detection systems to identify and flag potentially harmful content
  • Manual Review: Our moderation team reviews flagged content and reports to ensure compliance with our policies
  • Swift Action: Content that violates our child safety policies is removed promptly from the platform
  • Reporting: Confirmed violations are reported to appropriate authorities as required by law

3. Reporting Mechanism

Users can easily report inappropriate content or behavior directly within the app:

  • In-App Reporting: Every piece of content has a "Report" button for user complaints
  • Priority Review: All reports related to child safety are prioritized and reviewed as quickly as possible
  • Follow-Up: Users are informed of actions taken regarding their reports
  • Anonymous Reporting: Reports can be submitted anonymously to protect user privacy

4. User Blocking Feature

Users have the ability to block other users to prevent unwanted interactions. Blocked users cannot send messages, see the blocker's profile, or interact with their content. This feature empowers users to maintain a safe experience on the platform.

5. Age Restrictions and Verification

MealBourne is intended for users aged 13 and above:

  • Age Requirements: Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • No Children Under 13: We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or use our platform
  • Account Termination: Any accounts identified as belonging to children under 13 will be terminated immediately
  • Parental Rights: Parents or guardians can report accounts they believe belong to children under 13

6. Privacy Protection for Minors

We implement additional privacy protections for younger users:

  • Limited Data Collection: We collect only essential data from minors (aged 13-18)
  • Parental Involvement: For users aged 13-18, parents/guardians are encouraged to supervise account usage
  • Content Restrictions: Certain features may be restricted for users under 18
