Cooking Instructions
7 steps
Peel and cut potatoes into medium cubes. If using frozen peas, thaw them. If using fresh peas, blanch them.
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and mushy.
Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add potato cubes and mix well. Add 1 cup water, cover and cook for 10 minutes until potatoes are 80% done.
Add green peas and mix gently. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until both potatoes and peas are fully cooked.
Add garam masala and mix well. Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with roti, puri, or rice.
